We manufacture CNC turned seals to precise dimensions, profile and system operating conditions. CNC technology allows production without preparing a mold, so it is ideal for urgent repairs, prototypes, modernizations and production runs. In urgent cases we can prepare and dispatch seals the same day.

How we handle an inquiry

01 Dimensional data

We collect shaft, cylinder and groove dimensions as well as information about the old profile or drawing.

02 Profile selection

We select the cross-section for the function: piston, rod, wiping, guiding, support or rotational motion.

03 Material and production

We select material based on medium, temperature, friction and pressure, then prepare the CNC program.

04 Inspection and dispatch

We check dimensions of the finished part and prepare the order for pickup or shipment.

Frequently asked questions

When should you choose a CNC turned seal?

CNC turning is recommended for non-standard sizes, urgent repairs, prototypes, modernizations and when standard seals do not solve the operational issue.

Is a mold required for a CNC turned seal?

No. The seal is produced directly on a CNC machine from a suitable semi-finished product, so there is no mold cost.

What materials can be used for turned seals?

Common materials include PU, PTFE, NBR, FKM, EPDM and structural materials for guide and support parts. Material is selected according to the medium, temperature, pressure and type of motion.

Can a replacement be made based on an old seal?

Yes, but it is best to combine measurement of the worn part with groove dimensions. A worn seal may be deformed, so copying it alone may not yield the correct specification.

Is rapid production of CNC turned seals possible?

Yes. In urgent cases seals can be produced and shipped the same day if material is available, technical data is complete and the profile does not require additional agreements.

Does Kragum produce seals larger than 750 mm?

The standard production range covers diameters from 4 mm to 750 mm. For special orders seals up to 2000 mm diameter can be produced after prior technical consultation.
